Facilities for PhD Students

Ten PhD students who are (co)authors of papers accepted for presentation at EW2010, will be offered complimentary lodging by IMT and free access to the IMT canteen during the conference days. The students will be selected by a committee according to a number of criteria, including country of origin, and the score obtained in the referee procedure. Students applying for these facilities please contact the Student Papers Co-Chairs, together with proof of student status.

Best Student Papers Award

Papers bearing a PhD student as the first author will be considered for European Wireless Best Paper Awards. In addition to the usual electronic submission via EDAS, papers applying for the award should be submitted to the Student Papers Co-Chairs.

A paper is eligible to participate to the Best Student Papers Award contest if:
  • It is a regular/invited paper, i.e. posters, work-in-progress, workshop papers will not be considered;
  • All the authors of the paper are student authors or their supervisors. Any author who is a student (under-graduate or PhD) at the time of submission is considered a student author. We reserve the right to verify this status.
Note that the paper winning the contest must be presented by one of its student authors.
